Hillwood Golf Academy | In Memoriam
In Loving Memory of Alan Walbrugh (8 February 1967 – 21 November 2025)
It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Alan Walbrugh, a valued member of the Hillwood Golf Academy Board of Directors, who passed away on 21 November 2025.
Born on 8 February 1967, Alan lived a life marked by purpose, leadership, and generosity. He was a keen golfer and deeply passionate about youth development — a combination that made his involvement with Hillwood Golf Academy both natural and impactful.
A Leader with Heart
As a businessman, Alan brought strategic insight, entrepreneurial thinking, and steady leadership to the Academy. His input and direction were highly valued by fellow board members, coaches, and staff alike.
But beyond his professional strengths, it was his heart for young people that truly defined his contribution. Alan believed that golf could open doors — not only to opportunity, but to discipline, confidence, and character. He understood that sport has the power to shape futures.
A Lasting Legacy
Alan’s legacy at Hillwood Golf Academy lives on in the structures he helped strengthen, the vision he helped refine, and the countless young lives that continue to benefit from the Academy’s work.
His commitment to youth development and his willingness to invest his time, wisdom, and leadership into the Academy will not be forgotten.
Leadership is not only measured by success, but by the people who are stronger because you were there.
We are deeply grateful for the role Alan played in shaping Hillwood Golf Academy. His guidance, encouragement, and belief in our mission made a meaningful difference.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him.
