Hillwood is one of the few golf academies in South Africa serving children from disadvantaged backgrounds. Every training session, every lesson and every round of golf is a chance for children to develop discipline, confidence and belonging. Through the academy, young people learn not only the skills of the game, but also the life skills needed to navigate through challenges and build a brighter future.

The Academy's purpose goes beyond just playing golf. We want to be a home for vulnerable young people, a safe place where they can find hope, love and a healthy sense of family. These children rarely see anything outside their own village in their entire lives. Just being able to take a bus to a golf course and meet other people creates the conditions for a changed future.
